FAQs

In therapy, initial sessions focus on gathering information and creating a personalized plan. Subsequent sessions follow this plan, adapting as needed. Should your needs feel unmet, don’t hesitate to voice concerns.

Therapy involves discussions in a safe space, individually or with partners or family. I prioritize your topics of importance while guiding discussions toward your goals.

Finding a trusted therapist is key for effective therapy. You control the level of disclosure, supported by strict confidentiality laws. However, withholding vital information may affect progress.

Presently, I run a strictly fee-for-service practice. I’m not affiliated with any insurance panels and don’t directly bill insurance companies. All fees are expected at the time of service. While some PPO plans might offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers, it’s advisable to contact your insurer beforehand for details. I’m available to assist with necessary documentation. Opting to pay privately offers benefits such as maintaining confidentiality and greater freedom in therapist selection. I accept various forms of payment and adhere to a 48-hour cancellation policy.

The duration of therapy for a patient can vary widely depending on several factors, including the nature of the presenting issues, the therapeutic approach used, the individual needs and goals of the patient, and the progress made during treatment. While there is no fixed timeline for therapy, several considerations can help determine how long a patient should be in therapy. Those considerations are: nature and severity of the issues, therapeutic approach, and patients goals.

Ultimately, the decision about how long a patient should be in therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and the patient, taking into account the factors mentioned above. Regular communication and ongoing assessment of progress are essential to ensure that therapy remains effective and aligned with the patient’s needs and goals.

I am dedicated to strengthening relationships and fostering improved connections with your loved ones. Research indicates that individuals who engage in counseling are six times more likely to experience positive outcomes compared to those who attempt to address their challenges independently. However, the effectiveness of therapy is contingent upon the level of effort and commitment invested by the individual. While I cannot guarantee a specific outcome of increased happiness, I have witnessed significant improvements in the lives and relationships of clients who remain dedicated to the therapeutic process. My commitment to you is to provide my utmost support and guidance throughout your journey. As part of this commitment, I value your feedback and actively seek your input on the progress of our therapy sessions. Your insights allow me to tailor our approach to best meet your needs and support your growth.

Certainly. While relationships are an important focus of my practice, I also work with individuals on a wide range of other issues. Some common areas I work with include managing stress and anxiety, coping with depression, navigating life transitions such as grief and loss, improving self-esteem, addressing trauma, and developing effective communication skills.

My approach to therapy is holistic, meaning that I consider the interconnectedness of various aspects of your life. Even if your primary concern isn’t directly related to relationships, we can still explore how other areas of your life may be influencing your well-being and work towards solutions that promote overall growth and fulfillment.

If you have specific concerns or issues you’d like to address in therapy, please feel free to share them with me. Together, we can collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.
